How do I make a booking? Once your account is verified, you’ll be able to browse our full gear list, pick your dates, and confirm your hire all online—quick and easy.
Can I reserve gear over the phone or by email? Absolutely. If you’d rather speak to someone directly, just give us a call or drop us an email and we’ll sort it out for you.
What's the shortest hire period available? The minimum hire duration is one day, but we’re flexible—get in touch if you’ve got specific timing needs.
Do you offer discounts for longer rentals? Yes, we have a discounted structure for extended hires. For example, a 3–7 day booking is charged at the 3-day rate, with further discounts for even longer hires.
Delivery & Collection
Can you deliver and collect the gear? Yes—we offer delivery and pickup throughout Greater London and much of the South. Fees are distance-based and will be added to your quote.
Can I collect the kit the day before my shoot? Definitely, you’re welcome to collect between 3–5 PM the afternoon before your hire starts.
When should the gear be returned? Returns should be made between 9–11 AM the morning after your hire ends. If you're delayed, just let us know as soon as possible.
Can I collect/return the gear on a weekend? No, we do not operate on the weekends. We are open Monday - Friday. Bookings for hire dates on the weekend should be collected on Friday (PM) prior and returned on Monday (AM) after.
Insurance & Security
Do I need insurance to rent equipment? Yes, we ask all clients to have hire insurance covering the full replacement value of the kit. If you’re not insured, we can recommend trusted providers.
What if I’m not insured? No problem—we can guide you through the process of setting up temporary cover for your hire period.
Will I need to leave a security deposit? In some cases—particularly for new clients—we may request a refundable deposit. If needed, we’ll let you know during the booking process
Can I leave a deposit instead of getting insurance? Unfortunately, we do not accept deposits. All orders need to be covered by insurance.
Can I take the gear on shoots overseas? Yes that is possible, but you will need to complete the correct paperwork with a carnet company. We can provide the equipment value and serial numbers needed, as long as we have at least 3 business days notice.
Hire Periods & Rates
How is rental pricing calculated? We use a 3-day week structure—so a 7-day rental is charged as 3 days. Longer hires benefit from further discounted rates.
Are there special weekend rates? Yes! Weekend hires are charged as a single-day rental. You can collect Friday afternoon and return Monday morning.
Can I extend my hire? Extensions are possible if the gear is still available. Let us know as early as you can and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
Equipment & Support
What if something goes wrong with the kit during my hire? We’ve got your back. Get in touch with us immediately and our support team will help troubleshoot or find a quick solution.
What should I do if gear is lost or damaged? Please notify us straight away. You’ll also need to inform your insurance provider so we can move forward with resolving the issue.
Do you offer training on how to use the gear? While we assume a working knowledge of the equipment, we’re happy to offer setup guidance or point you toward helpful resources.
Can I prep the gear at Cinegearpro? Yes, we have an area suitable for testing equipment. Please get in touch if you need anything specific.
How can I see what's included with the gear I'm hiring? On the product listing on our website, you'll be able to find what's included in the kit. It will also appear on your invoice. When receiving the gear, someone from the team will provide a packing list of all the gear you've hired.
Accounts & Documentation
How do I open an account? Sign up via our website. We’ll need one form of photo ID (like a passport or driver’s license) and one proof of address (such as a recent utility bill).
What types of payment do you accept? We accept most major credit and debit cards. Payment is typically due in advance to secure your booking.
Can I cancel my order? Yes, cancellations made more than seven working days before your hire starts are free of charge. Closer cancellations may incur a fee.
